Why Does Vermont Need a Safety Plan?
The consequences to Vermont individuals, families, and businesses are considerable.
Since 2000, an average of 700 people have been seriously injured and an average of 83 people have died each year in motor vehicle crashes in Vermont.
Estimates of economic losses caused by fatal and serious injury crashes were at least $483 million in 2004.
